T.L. CERNY

T.L. (Tasha) Cerny is a writer, director, producer, and researcher based in Los Angeles. In addition to her work in the entertainment industry, Tasha is a content and project manager, as well as the primary content consultant for Angel Scale, a company dedicated to helping small businesses find success while starting out.

Tasha’s credits include co-creating and producing the 2020 pandemic livestream show PENDEMIC, which interviewed some of Hollywood’s most successful film and TV writers and showrunners, including Nikki Toscano (THE OFFER, HUNTERS) and Shawn Ryan (SWAT, THE SHIELD). Her TV credits include THE GOOD DOCTOR, DAISY JONES AND THE SIX, LINCOLN RHYME: HUNT FOR THE BONE COLLECTOR, HUNTERS, and INSTANT MOM.

Tasha’s own work and writing has placed her as a finalist in several fellowships and competitions, including the Austin Film Festival and the Kansas City Fringe Festival. Her personal essays, interviews, and reviews have been published in a number of outlets, and her debut film short, MY DEAD ROOMMATE, was featured and nominated in two film festivals and is now available to watch on youtube.

Tasha is passionate about our impact on the environment and has a dedicated brand for sustainable living focused on creative expression through secondhand and upcycled items, as well as sustainable skills, like sewing and gardening. She shares her journey with reducing her carbon footprint through The Leftover Craft.

Growing up in the Midwest, Tasha’s life largely revolved around the quiet wheat fields of Kansas. Much of her childhood was spent visiting and learning on the family farms: homesteads established by her great-great grandparents: Irish, German, and Czech immigrants.Tasha got her start writing and performing for theater, focusing on poetry and playwriting in college before moving to Los Angeles to work in television.
